Bai Weidong was born in Bayan County, Heilongjiang Province. At the age of five, his father who followed the army to change jobs responded to the call of the state and came to Mohe outpost forest farm, which is known as the "cold forbidden zone". He presided over the completion of the project "Manufacturing Technology and Application of Special-shaped Load-bearing Wood Beam Splicing", and developed 25 sets of wood component processing equipment, which can save more than 30% of wood.
